Submit your abstracts and share your breakthrough in diabetes research at the 12th Edition of Dr.Mohan’s International Diabetes Update which is scheduled to take place between July 25-27, 2025 at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, India

Key Dates for Abstract Submission

April 25, 2025, 9 am IST : Abstract submission opens
May 24, 2025, 5 pm IST : Abstract submission closes
June 15, 2025 : Announcement of accepted abstracts through email
Abstract submission fee : NIL
Abstract word count limit : 300 words

Awards for best oral/poster presentations
To encourage researchers, scientists and students, the Dr.Mohan’s International Diabetes Update has instituted the following awards:

Best Oral Presentations – 1st and 2nd prize
Best Poster Presentations -1st and 2nd prize
The awards will be given to the most outstanding oral/poster presentation and will be granted to the presenting author of the abstract.

Please carefully review the following guidelines before submitting your abstract.

  • It is not permitted to submit work that has been published and/or is likely to be published before the DMIDU 2025 Abstract submission deadline.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit; however, an author may only serve as the presenting author on two submissions.
  • It is mandatory that the presenting author of any abstract accepted for oral/poster presentation attends the meeting in-person to present and/or discuss the paper
  • Submitting an abstract DOES NOT register you for the ‘DMIDU 2025′. Please click on the link given below for registering yourself for the conference.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
The Presenting Author must submit the abstract and will act as the main point of contact for the abstract with organisers.
The online abstract submission is a simple step-by-step process and will ask you to input the following details:

  • Presentation type – Oral & Poster, Poster only, Oral only
  • Theme – to be chosen from the theme list provided
  • Presenting Author – Name, affiliation, job title of presenting author and email address (this person must be listed as the first author). The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
  • Co-Authors – Name, affiliation, and job title of co-author(s)
  • Abstract Structure should be as mentioned below –
    Introduction: Provide background information and context for your study
    Aim: State the objective or purpose of your research.
    Methods: Describe the materials, procedures, and techniques used in your study
    Results: Summarize the findings of your research, including any key outcomes
    Conclusions: Present the conclusions drawn from your study and their significance


General Instructions:

  • Ensure that your abstract presents original work that has not been previously published or presented elsewhere.
  • Abstracts should be presented in English
  • The title is limited to 20 words (Please note: The title is not included in the total word count of 300)
  • The main body of the text, that should not exceed 300 words.
  • One table or figure can be included (Please note: Table or figure must be uploaded as image files. Addition of an image whether a figure or table deducts 75 words each)
  • Abstracts must contain data and meet international ethical standards.
  • Abbreviations should be defined
  • Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial or promotional content.
  • Submissions may not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying information.
  • Please proof read the abstract carefully for factual and spelling errors.
  • When submitting an abstract, make sure you click the submit button one time only. If you do not click the submit button, your abstract will not be submitted.
  • After submission, no further modification can be made.
  • All the abstracts need to be submitted through online portal on or before May 24th, 2025 (5PM IST).
  • Abstracts cannot be submitted as an e-mail attachment

ANY ABSTRACT, WHICH DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE ABOVE GUIDELINES, WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED

Abstract Notification:

  • Submitted abstracts will undergo a review process by a panel of experts. Ensure that your abstract meets the criteria for acceptance, including relevance, clarity and scientific merit.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to accept / reject / assign a different presentation type to all the abstracts submitted.
  • Authors will be notified of the acceptance status of their abstracts within the timeframe specified by the organizers. Please ensure that the contact information provided is accurate and regularly checked.
  • If your abstract is accepted, you will be informed about the presentation format (e.g., oral presentation, poster presentation) and any specific requirements or instructions.
